Accessibility
PassRank aims to work for everyone, past WCAG 2.2 AA where we can manage it. This page states what we do, what we know is imperfect, and how to reach us.
What works
- Full keyboard operation: / focuses search, Tab reaches every control, Enter on a chip name opens its details, Escape closes any overlay. Focus is always visible.
- A skip link jumps straight to the rankings table.
- Every chart bar is paired with its exact value and rank in text. Nothing is conveyed by color or bar length alone.
- Light and dark themes (toggle in the header), both with AA contrast. Your choice is remembered.
- Motion is minimal, and the few transitions respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - All form controls are labeled; sort buttons expose
aria-sort; overlays are proper dialogs.
Known gaps
- The rankings table is windowed for speed (only visible rows exist in the page), so screen readers cannot walk the full 6,700-row list in one pass. Search and filters narrow the list to a readable size, and every chip's full record is available on its detail view.
- The table needs horizontal scrolling on narrow screens.
